“Cupid or stupid”

Films: Cupid (2020)

Alias: None

Type: Mystical

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: When people think of love, one of the more iconic images around is that of the cupid. Most think of a cute baby with wings and archery skills meant to spread good old romance everywhere. But just like anything else, the cupid has been demonized into a monster by the ever so hungry world of horror cinema.

History: A burgeoning witch, high schooler Faye has been burned by the other girls for the last time. She decides that to get her revenge on Valentines Day, she will summon the demon known as Cupid for a whole day. But Cupid intends to make those 24 hours count, and soon goes on an arrow-filled rampage that will go beyond Faye's control.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After confronting Cupid before any more blood can be spilled, Faye renounces their deal, though someone has to die before the last two minutes are up. Once they are, Cupid departs. However, Faye realizes that her previous love spells worked to an extent. Embarrassing, but fixing that sounds a bit more doable than trying to stop an immortal demon.

Powers/Abilities: Cupid's main method of killing is with his trusty bow and arrow, with which he has deadly accuracy. He is also effectively unstoppable and can fly.

Weakness: Should the 24 hours be over, he will leave.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-Although seething this thing fly on rather stiff wings can be absurd, Cupid does have a degree of intimidation to him. It mainly comes from his skeletal-looking face, as well as his deep commanding voice. It's jarring how something so cutesy resulted in the conception of this Hellspawn.

Trivia: -In Roman mythology, Cupid was the lesser God of passionate love, and the son of Venus and Mars. In Greece, he was known as Eros. One of the most popular myths about him was when he got a taste of his own love, and eloped with Psyche, the mortal-born Goddess of the soul. It's one of the few Greek love stories that doesn't end in tragedy.

-Cupid was played here by Bao Tieu, who's better known for being a stuntman in more big-budget films.
